Julien Poitras
Université Laval
Julien Poitras has been the dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval since 2017. He is a full professor at the Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine and the head of the Social Accountability Standing Committee at AFMC (Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada). He was previously vice-dean to social accountability, postgrad dean, director of the emergency medicine program and head of the academic department of emergency medicine at the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis affiliated university hospital center in Chaudière-Appalaches’ Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CIUSSS). He practices emergency medicine and from a teaching and research point of view, he is interested in planetary health, patient safety and citizen collaboration. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the CHU de Québec - Université Laval as well as a fan of sustainable travel by running or cycling. In his free time, he devotes himself to making comics and publishing them via Les éditions Moelle Graphik.
Madalena Patricio
Madalena Patrício is Honorary Member and Scientific Consultant of the Department of Medical Education (DEM) at the Faculdade de Medicine da Universidade de Lisboa (FMUL). She integrates the Institute for Evidence Based Health (ISBE).

Michelle Daniel
University of California
Dr. Michelle Daniel is Vice Dean for Medical Education and Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from Johns Hopkins Medical School in 2002 and completed her emergency medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2005. She subsequently obtained her Masters in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Prior to coming to UC San Diego, Dr. Daniel served for 6 years as the Curricular Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education at the University of Michigan. She is an internationally known scholar in medical education and well-published in the field. She serves as an Associate Editor for Medical Teacher and Chairs the Best Evidence in Medical Education (BEME) Council. Her scholarly interests include clinical reasoning and theories of cognition, AI in education, systematic reviews, and well-being.
Peter GM de Jong
President
International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE)
Peter de Jong is a senior advisor and researcher in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning at Leiden University Medical Center in The Netherlands. His research interest is in the field of Online and Blended Learning in medical education, and the use of Mixed and Virtual Reality applications. He authored several articles and presented numeral oral, poster and workshop presentations, and is an active member of the Netherlands Association for Medical Education NVMO. Peter has a Master degree in Medical Technology from Eindhoven University and a PhD in Biophysics/Physiology from Maastricht University. Since 2007 Peter is involved in the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE). He has served IAMSE as member of the Board, as Vice President, and as the 2009 Program Chair and Site Host for the IAMSE Annual Conference. From 2010-2023 Peter was the Editor-in-Chief of IAMSE's journal Medical Science Educator. He currently holds the office of IAMSE President.
